OneSky’s Early Learning Center helped their families stay together – now it’s time for goodbyes (PHOTOS)
Their parents left countryside homes to find work in the city – OneSky’s help meant their children’s care and development was one less thing to worry about.
Twenty-three children of factory workers have just graduated from OneSky’s Early Learning Center (ELC) in Da Nang, Vietnam – in a bittersweet ceremony.
For many of the children, all aged between five and six, this has been the most stable period of their young lives – having left countryside homes to follow parents to the city. Without the ELC they’d have had to rely on unskilled and unlicensed daycare providers.

Speaking at the event OneSky Vietnam Program Director Vo Thi Hien said:
“I hope even when you go to primary school, please remember OneSky will still be your home. Whenever you visit OneSky Early Learning Center will open our doors and welcome you. You are our hope for the future.”
The class – known as the “Leaves” sang “I’m going to a new class” together
“This morning I’m going to a new class
Saying goodbye to my beloved school,
So many new things surrounding me,
No more familiar memories,
Missing time we were together,
Why has the happiness gone so fast,
Being with my teachers,
No more familiar memories.”
